Respite Breaks
For those children who are not able to experience holidays because of the severity of their illness, we have purchased two fully disabled mobile homes which are in constant use.
These children are terminally ill severely disabled and suffer life threatening illness.
Our homes are now able to accommodate everyone without having to say no, as they have walk in shower and hoist for those children that would not necessarily have this facility in a hotel or abroad and offers them the chance to go away from the everyday stresses of treatment and just be a child. (which all children should have)…..
We provide holidays with requests from care trusts, children’s hospitals, hospices and many hundreds of children who’s families have gone through many months and sometimes years of treatment. As each home accommodates up to eight people we are in the position to send the whole family and not just the carer. The homes are next to each other and this has also enabled us to send a medical carer if one is needed with their own accommodation to ensure a child fulfils their holiday.
The homes are to a 5* Gold standard and situated on a John Fowler Holiday Park in Torbay, Devon. We have an excellent dream team that provides all the care that is needed to ensure the homes are maintained and kept to the highest standard on site.
The homes are fully equipped with latest appliances and up to date TVs x box, games, toys, play station and much more.
Do you know someone that would benefit from a much needed respite holiday if so please contact us and allow us to help make a difference.
Meet RoseHi June,
I just wanted to pass on a message from Isaac’s parents who went on the dream makers holiday in September, they absolutely loved the holiday, they said the caravan was perfect and completely accessible for Isaac which was amazing. Isaac’s older sisters had the best time, they had never been on a holiday before so it was very exciting for them. They still talk about it all the time and tell everyone all about the caravan and what they got to do that week.
So Thank You to Dream Makers for giving this family lots of lovely memories.
Kind Regards
Sarah Watts
